Halisi Ali El

Halisi Ali El is a Seattle-based multi-disciplinary artist, writer, poet, author, life coach, educator, and community advocate who creates art as a response to social injustice.

Self-identifying as a "warrior mama bear," Halisi is driven by advocacy for marginalized voices, particularly children. Her work centers on social justice, honest storytelling, and empowering communities to speak for themselves.

As an active member of the African-American Writers' Alliance (AAWA), Halisi facilitates workshops like "The Ritual of Writing," teaching techniques to break through emotional barriers in storytelling. She balances multiple roles by choosing opportunities aligned with her passions, creating authentic work that reflects her values.
